Don Sawyer Celebration of Life

Donald “Don” Sawyer was a beloved Pioneer whose more than five decades of service as a student-athlete, coach, professor, administrator and mentor left a lasting legacy at Cal State East Bay.

His leadership guided Pioneer Athletics to national success, while his commitment to education and character left a lasting impact far beyond the field. Don’s passion, integrity, and dedication to the Cal State East Bay community will be remembered always.
